A DIY charcoal mask to remove blackheads in a tick

It wasn’t many moons ago that we came to know about a new viral face mask that was claiming to be your blackheads’ worst enemy. You guessed it right! The charcoal mask. But soon we heard from the experts that they weren’t doing your skin any good as they used harsh adhesives, which could harm your skin.

That said, charcoal is a natural detoxifying ingredient aka charcoal is in fact crazy-good at getting rid of the stubborn blackheads and whiteheads So, if those pesky blackheads have got you down, we have found an amazing DIY mask using charcoal, multani mitti and rose water (all natural skin-loving ingredients) that will help remove blackheads once and for all.

This mask is super beneficial for oily skin as fuller’s earth or multani mitti does a stellar job at zapping oil from the skin while charcoal detoxifies, leaving your face refreshed, clean and insanely smooth. So, just raid your kitchen and grab these ingredients to make yourself a blackhead-stripping face mask.

How to:

Take two tablespoons of activated charcoal and fuller’s earth (multani mitti) each in a bowl and mix well. Add rosewater as required to make a fine paste.  Apply this mask on your nose, chin and other areas where you can spot blackheads and whiteheads. Let it stay on for about 15 to 20 minutes and peel it off. Rinse your face and moisturise. Use this mask once a week for spotless and smooth skin.

BB pro tip: If you have dry skin, you can add moisture-boosting ingredients, so it doesn’t dry out your skin. Just add one tablespoon of milk or a few drops of essential oil and you have a hydrating mask.
